Make your next vacation a true southern experience
The Holy City
Charleston is the oldest and second-largest city in the State of South Carolina. The city lies just south of the geographical midpoint of South Carolina’s coastline and is located on Charleston Harbor, an inlet of the Atlantic Ocean formed by the confluence of the Ashley and Cooper rivers, or, as is locally expressed, “where the Cooper and Ashley Rivers come together to form the Atlantic Ocean”.
Charleston is known as The Holy City, perhaps by virtue of the prominence of churches on the low-rise cityscape.
For the fourth year, the readers of Conde’ Naste Traveler voted Charleston the No. 1 U.S. City. Known for rich history, well-preserved architecture, a celebrated restaurant community and mannerly people, the city also ranked #2 in the World by Conde’ Nast Traveler 2014 Readers’ Choice Awards. Let us show you the reasons we love this southern city.
Hi, I’m Captain Chad. I’m a Charleston local who spent most of their childhood on the water. My love for all things water drives my passion to learn, teach and share the unique beauty of the Lowcountry waterways as only a local can do. I graduated in the top 5 of my USCG training and excelled to be a Master Captain as well as a certified surfing instructor for 15+ years, stand up paddle board guide for 6 years, and avid fisherman since a very young age who loves to share the beauty of the Lowcountry with locals and tourist alike. A lifetime of experience on the water has given me a keen eye for spotting dolphin, exploring the wildlife in the creeks and marshes, shelling and finding sharks teeth and other artifacts. I’d love to share with you where the locals eat, play and make memories.
